Proprie what a tory? If the source comes from GPL it needs to remain GPL. Any source derived from it needs to remain GPL. Any source modified to interact with it in certain ways needs to be GPL. The GPL does not engulf output files this way, so data such as images, saved files, and the sort retain original copyright.
As it is:
http://meego.com/about/licensing-policy MeeGo's source is GPL v.2. The only thing protectable in MeeGo is the trade dress. (Unless the source is closed, then it's GPL comes into effect and requires it be opened)
Just the basics, so I am certain I am skipping over the finer details of the GPL,
EDIT: I thought I would edit this to add a point. The only time the Copyright and ownership of any portion of the source, and derivatives of the source should ever come into play is when a closed source edition is released. If at any other time it comes into play is simply a wedge meant to separate Nokia, Intel, Linux, and the Community.
