With my little math skills, I counted 5 or 6 interested people (including me): vivainio, myrtti, mjk, timoph and me. Of course texrat as a background support In my opinion, this group can be now seen as established (not anymore canditate).

If the date and time given before is ok (21.9.2010 18:00) we will meet at Demola. For me and for Demola it's ok. I'll add the meeting to the calendar thingy somewhere in this domain/forum/service.

Furthermore, I'll notify the rest of our hackerspace members about this.

If it's ok for others, we can use the postlist of mode 5w (the hackerspace which I have been talking about). That way, we don't need to establish a new list and everyone would be (this group and mode 5w hackers) on the same list.

I suggest that we use the existing list, which can be found here:

Why not, but a few things to consider regarding the first meeting. If we will gather at Demola, at the moment without extra work only Tuesdays at 18:00 is ok. But if necessary, the weekday can be different, but requires some phonecalls etc.

Awesome, thanks! I did send a message to the Community lead about the sponsoring thingy A bit hasty, since you paid the start. But anyway

I will 'echo' these issues to hackerspace list and IRC channel (freenode.org#5w) too.

Even though people seem to be exited about this group, some support would be needed. You can express your support by making a decision to come to the first meeting. In that case, add your self to group's Meetup event. http://www.meetup.com/Tampere-Meego-enthusiasts/

You broke the 5-member barrier, congratulations!

Feel free advertising the Tampere MeeGo Network in the community-list. There are more guys from Tampere there.

(And from Helsinki and Oulu too, I just hope they get jealous start their groups too)

I will show up in the meet for sure but I'm not too eager to sign up to yet another web service to tell about it

I'm hoping the network related things will mostly happen here within MeeGo context not within the 5w hacker context or some other place. By this I'm not trying to say that the 5w thing is a bad thing or that it shouldn't be a part of the network. I'm trying to say that we should be visible to other ameegos as well and be active within MeeGo not outside of it.

Why hide from other ameegos? I'm pretty sure people looking for MeeGo stuff will end up here rather than anywhere else..

Great! Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to hide us behind or among something else. Instead I'm just following the instructions or suggested path given in wiki. I'm just a typical obedient Finnish guy; give me path and I will follow it. For me, it doesn't make any difference whether people sign up to another web service or not. What makes a difference is that we get together. Hope to see you all in the first meeting.
