I have MeeGo 1.0.2 installed on a HP Mini 210. For the most part, everything works well.

One thing that annoys is the cursor jumping to other screen locations while typing. Not sure if it's me doing something I'm not aware of or something else. I do have the touchpad disabled while typing. Doesn't seem to matter.

BTW, I had cursor jump several times while typing this note.

Anyone else experienced this?

Just googled "cursor jump". On went the fire hose. Thousands of hits.

I've played with some of the syndaemon settings. Still have cursor jump. I have submitted a bug report.

I saw that bug and voted. Thanks for posting it. I also commented with some more sane syndaemon settings. Does anyone know what component starts syndaemon? Perhaps its possible to tweak it to use these more sane settings?

1.0.3 - cursor continues to jump while typing and drag and drop not working on occasion.

I'm running Meego on HP dm4-1060us. The only problem is with the touchpad. Can't disable tapping (have to use the work around), occasional jumping cursor, unusable drag and drop (jumps all over the place). If I have to use drag and drop, I plug in a mouse.

On my 1060us, the cursor jumps when I inadvertently touch the touchpad with two fingers or with two points of the same finger, which is also why I cannot drag and drop. A work around is to hold down the left button with the tip of a plastic pen and then use one finger to drag.

On my HP 210, drag and drop has been better since updating to 1.0.3 although not totally gone. Cursor jump is still a problem. It jumped 3 times while I was writing this note.

On the HP notebook forums, there are more than a few threads on cursor jump.
