Instead of noise-canceling earphones you could also go for the deep in-ear kind - they very effectively block out outside noise. I love them, some find inserting them into their ear canals uncomfortable, though.

Try with a cheap pair if you feel comfortable, then (depending on the quality/price you're going for) you can still move up to higher end models.

You mean noise-cancelling, right? Please, for the love of humanity, don't buy Beats. They are ridiculously shitty and only idiots who don't know anything about sound quality buy them.

Do some research. It's not hard to Google at all. :P Sennheiser, Etymotic Research, Ultimate Ears, Sony. Try those.

Have been working for Nokia for a couple of years, accessories department.
Only thing i can say is to buy Nokia bh905i.

Have bought and tried many, nothing can beat 905i in terms of active noise canceling.

good luck with it.

AKG K 480 NC Headphones,Wired + AKG HA450 SMART PHONE ADAPTOR FOR AKG HEADPHONES. That will cost you 120£, I have bought one and they are pretty decent you you don't like earbuds.

But actually Etymotic isolator earbuds are better, something like er6's will cost you around 110$. And highend Etymotics will cost even more. MC5's are around 60$ and will give you Noise Isolation: 35-42 dB (that will beat hands down any active noice cancelation device).

I have both K480 and ER6, and I prefer ER6 for listening musing (there werent MC5's available back in the days when I got ER6). And K480+HA450's for making phonecalls.

Nokia BH-905i is pretty nice but the price (300$) is a bit steep.
