I have continued to work on GApp, just not tested or published it for Harmattan.
I'm glad to hear that you're still actively developing for Maemo 6x, but just not testing/publishing.
It may be a relatively small user-base, but IME users are more prepared to pay/donate for good apps.
This is reinforced by the fact that they've gone out of their way to obtain a elusive/pricey N9 (in many cases).

Hopefully you'll move towards some testing & publishing too, that'd drive more interest/exposure/purchases.
You should make it clear on your GApp page, that the Maemo 6x client is available for testing.
ATM no-one would know that you have newer builds awaiting feed-back from end-users!

Were you using it? Why?
I came across your app while I was searching for a possibility to maintain a "to-do"-list that I would like to share with somebody who has an iPhone/iPad. One decent possibility is the task-list in Google calendar or "Google Tasks", which is the same, apparently (I haven't tried the web-inferfaces of all these other task-list services, maybe they are also good enough for my purposes).

Although the task list could also be accessed with Firefox on the N9 (with the standard browser, I get a strange error and with Opera, the Google site complains that it is an "old" browser and I seem to be unable to find the task list), I like the design of your app better and if you have two task lists on different accounts, I am not sure how much hassle it would be to change accounts in Firefox.

Anyway: the problem I have is that if I am in a task list using your app and if I want to add a new task, the keyboard won't appear. If I change to an existing task, the keyboard appears instantly and if I go back to editing a new task, the keyboard disappears again.

This prevents me from using your otherwise brilliant program.

(Using the app for the first time was a bit of a problem, because strange things happend, for example the standard browser suddenly started etc. But now, when I start it, after 5 seconds or so, my Google mail account shows up and from there, it is not too difficult to go to the task list. Of course, having the possibility to go to the task list immediately, would be even better )

I am still here and still trying to get GApp to work on Harmattan. I think I figured out (not really me ) the "crashing on task switch". It is a workaround that solved the issue with another webkit application I was playing around so I believe it will work for GApp as well.

The NEW issue is that PR1.2 introduced a webkit regression: resizing the "view area" to show the entire mainframe contents will trigger an endless loop because the contents of the mainframe readjust to the size of the "view". This issue doesn't exist on Symbian or on Harmattan before PR1.2. (You will notice the issue on the gmail inbox page...it will keep growing forever, the zoom doesn't quite work and eventually you "get lost" in a ocean of white space )

At this point the only hope to actually fix this second issue is: 1) figure out how to build the "pr1.1" qt web kit; 2) patch the qt webkit on pr 1.2; 3) build the latest Qt webkit using the stock Qt 4.7.4; or 4) make the application depend on Qt5

Have to say that so far haven't had much luck. My first attempt was to build the latest webkit (WebKit 2) on scratchbox but it didn't go very far. So far I have only found instructions on how to build Webkit with Qt5 for Harmattan. Any help/hints on how to build qt webkit on scratchbox will be greatly appreciated

I will look into it and try to work around on a future release but until I can address the issue with the "pr1.2" GApp is even less usable than it was with the "task switch" crashing issue

Have to say: YES!!!! and YES!!!!

edit: too quick on pushing the post with all the excitement

Both issues were resolved! I have submitted it to the Ovi store (but they just told me that they are upgrading the harmattan infrastructure so it could be delayed for up to two weeks!!!! unbelievable!!!!)

As soon as it makes to the store I will post here!

Excellent, congratulations for this great work.
You can start in DESKTOP MODE?
It does in mobile mode.
You can change this configuration ?
It would be much better.

Why would you want to start on desktop mode? Then it would not be any different than what you can do using any other browser, no?
