I've installed Meego Netbook 1.2 on an Asus eeepc X101CH, including the update to 1.2.0.8. No other programs yet.

When the netbook goes into suspend, it won't quite wake up afterwards. The lights of the screen come on, but the screen stays black. Pressing the Caps Lock button toggles the Caps Lock light and pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del initiates a reboot - so the system is awake somehow, but unuseable.

The behaviour is the same, wether the suspend mode is trigger by closing the lid or by not using the netbook for the time specified in the enegery settings.

I tried pressing Ctrl+Alt+F1, Ctrl+Alt+F2 etc. up to F12, but that didn't bring the screen to life either.

I hope someone of you has suggestions on what to do. I have not used Meego für Netbook before, my other computers run Ubuntu. :-)

If you try all the possible options, you can try to uninstall and install back. Worked me one time, May be the drivers not loaded properly. Try this link

I got the same issue, but during installation.
I've manually partitioned the disk, because i need the dual boot with Windows (like they said on a thread in this forum). After installing it reboots, asks me for keyboard language, time zone and info for creating a user account, then it goes black and never recover. I tried by formatting and reinstalling, but it's useless.

Hi there I installed meego on my x101ch today and had the same problem. I found out its down to the password request on resume.
I went into system settings, security and passwords, and turned off require password to turn on or wake from sleep.

Now all I have to do is work out how to get the webcam working.

I added "nophet" to the Kernel parameters. Now it works if the netbook was not disconnected from the power grid for the entire suspend time. If it was disconnected it works sometimes, but often the screen stays black (better than te 100% failure raite without that Kernel parameter).

I have no idea what nophet does and Google couldn't find anyting helpful either.
