Is there a way to install a newer version of Chromium? MeeGo's version is 15.something which is kinda long in the tooth.

I'm lately getting occasional messages like this while using version 15:

"Your Chromium version is old. Please upgrade."

BTW, 1.2.0.8 (released this week) does NOT include a newer version of Chromium.

I am wondering the same thing, but for some reason I'm stuck with an even older version, 11.0.696.68, and I can't work out how to upgrade it.
Some help would be useful I agree. Would it be possible to install a different browser maybe? like Firefox or Opera.

Try installing it from an rpm or from source.

Interesting that the latest netbook update 1.2.0.9 still has a Chromium v15.something as part of the kit, so no help there.

footnote: I've more or less put Meego on the shelf. Waiting for Tizen but I wonder what kind of netbook support it will contain. Netbooks have lost their luster and with it development?
