Default MeeGo's installation on ExoPC slate

Hello,
I have an ExoPC Slate and i want to install meego on it, so i have followed the instructions from the wiki (http://wiki.meego.com/Devices/ExoPC) and I have downloaded 5 images (in trunk and stable branches) but i can't start the installation, i have a lot of error (hci_cmd_timer: hci0 command tx timeout) and the installer never start. and some thing strange : when I start MeeGo from the liveUSB (the demo not the installer) it's OK, I have the image and the cursor ...

Do you have an idea ?

To make some test, i have installed fedora 15 on it and it seems to work fine so it's not an hardware issue.

Thanks in advance,

JLugagne

It would help for you to be more specific with the image you are attempting to install. In any case, most users, including myself, are able to install this stable image:

http://repo.meego.com/MeeGo/builds/s...20110517.1.img

I've seen others successfully install later images

http://exocommunity.com/forum/viewto...p?f=110&t=4198

The biggest challenge I've seen for most around the various forums is properly writing the image to your USB stick.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

Thank you very much !! it works with your .img file !!
I think the errors was i got img with size ~320Mo and your ~600 ... some files could be missing in small size files.

Have a nice day and thank you again \o/

I encountered the same issue. The OS will install with the following workaround. plug in a USB keyboard and start the OS install. When the system hangs at hci_cmd_timer: hci0 command TX timeout, press cntl-alt-F2 to enter TTY2 command prompt, then cd .. back to the root directory, then cd up to /usr/sbin directory and run installer-shell script. type yes to wipe all partitions, then the OS will install. Hope this helps...

This issue seems to be related to the 1.3 (1.2.8) builds at http://repo.meego.com/MeeGo/snapshot...a32-pinetrail/

If you stick with either the 1.2 test builds (1.2.0.90) http://repo.meego.com/MeeGo/snapshot...a32-pinetrail/ or go back to the image that was validated by the AppUp team on the ExoPC, you should not see this error.
http://appdeveloper.intel.com/en-us/meego-sdk-suite

I tried both of these images. The first one demonstrates the error you are seeing, the second one loads OK.

I had the same problem here, and installing the most recent versions worked pretty well.
The recent versions are way more stable than before.

Cheers
